Started in the basement of a friend's house with a hefty vinyl collection of Trance, Techno, Big Beat and Jungle. In 2001 he moved to London, England, and witnessed just how influential the DJ movement had become. He started collecting vinyl and soon became hooked on where music could take you.
Over several years he jammed with friends and gained insight from more experienced djs, mcs, singers and musicians from all walks of life. Today his major influences are from the organic rhythms of Quantic, the playful jazz wobble of Mr Scruff, the pounding dubstep of Bassnectar and the prolific pop, indie, dance hall remixer Diplo (aka Major Lazor). Before Hanoi, he was a resident of X&Y Bar (Voted #1 music venue in Australia 2010) as well as a slew of other special guest appearances throughout Australia.
In 2005 he co-founded Boxylucha, a multimedia event group focusing on the past present and future of music. The events ran monthly for over 5 years and continue to host special events annually. They've made some special appearances along the way, with the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival ('10), West End Carnivale ('10), Trailer Trash ('10), Big Day Out "Boiler Room" ('09) and "Silent Disco" ('06), Woodford Folk Festival ('08 & '09), The Speigletent ('08), Valley Fiesta and Rock the Vote ('07).
Who knows what the future may hold for Cache. The only certainty is change and with a smile he'll keep digging, playing, forever searching...
